As a part of the project of development and introduction promotion, underwater operation and maintainence of the next generation robot for social infrastructure by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the developed underwater ROV is suitable for the inspection of Yasaka Dam in the Hiroshima-Yamaguchi border and its utility is verificated.

Diving experiment of developing marine robot under the windmill floating on the sea is held in the ocean renewable energy demonstration field, Goto, Nagasaki. We were successful in the real-time monitoring and underwater video shooting of the situation of floating structures and underwater chain, and the gregariousness situation of fish around the windmill. In particular, it was possible to using the robot to film from the bottom of floating cone portion (water depth 76m) that was difficult to be observed in the past. During the investigation of Robot for Next generation Social Infrastructure hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in Miyagase Dam at 1st and 2nd Dec, the underwater inspection test was carried out using the developed underwater robot(ROV), and succeeded in the transmission of realtime video of dam wall's target underwater. Moreover, there was a proof that it can dive to a depth of about 100m.

Research of underwater robot and its application to ocean renewable energy entitled「特集リポート:注目集める"魚型ロボット"開発最前線報告 (Feature Report: Report About The Frontier Development of "Fish Robot" Attracts People's Attention)」was broadcasted throughout the country in NHK Journal (First Radio Broadcasting) at 4th Sep (Thursday). Elementary school students which participated in The Jellyfish Project Mathematics Contest「サイエンス塾 (Sciences School)」visit to the lab, and studied about 「robotics」. The lecture scene can be viewed in here.
「魚ロボットと宇宙、医療への応用 (Fish Robots And Its Application To The Space And Medical Fields)」(at 13th Aug) broadcastedin NCC Asahi Broadcast Super J Channel at 21st Aug. received high evalutaion and was broadcasted in expanded area.
Experiment of cave exploration using underwater ROV which was developed with Nippon Bunri University, The University of Kitakyushu and NMK was broadcasted in OCT Ooita Cable TV Program.

A lecture about manufacture of marine robot was given at 23rd June in the technology seminar of Okinawa Marine Robot Contest and Pre-Tournament (sponsored by Organization for the Promotion of Industry, University and Government Collaboration, and cosponsored by Cabinet Office, executive committee of Okinawa Marine Robot Contest and Pre-Tournament).
Okinawa Marine Robot Contest and Pre-Tournament was scheduled to be held in center of the marine industry promotion, Chatan Town, Okinawa at 6th Dec.
There was also a exhibition of participated robot in the Marine Industry Forum in the nearby Hilton Hotel the previous day.
In the first meeting of Promotion of formation of the Nagasaki Marine Industry Cluster on 17th June, A talk about research of ocean renewable energy was given.
It was broadcasted in NHK Evening Nagasaki, Ohayo Japan (17th, 18th June), and was published in Nagasaki Shimbun (page 7 of 18th June). Also, the related article was published in Nagasaki Keizai Shimbun (National version) as shown in here.

A talk about the current state of robotics technology and its possibility to transfer to business, demonstration of fish robot and its applied technology was held at The Most Advanced Technology Seminar (multipurpose room of National Institute of Technology, Sasebo College)
Its contents was broadcasted in TVS TV Sasebo program entitled「スポットインさせぼ (Spot in Sasebo)」(6th Feb).

Exhibition and demonstration of upper limb rehabilitation robot that cooperatively developed with the University of Occupational and Environmental Health Japan(Lecture about medical rehabilitation)and Nippon Bunri University was held at the 13th Kitakyushu Science and Research Park Industry-Academia Cooperation Fair (23rd~25th Oct 2013). Results of KAKENHI Scientific Research B, FAIS Robot Creation Project in City, etc. recieve high evaluation from medical personnel. In the future, the spread to the clinical field was expected.
